“Wish I may…Wish I Might… Wish for Peace on Earth Tonight” Author Unknown PeaceSuch a simple wish…yet so complex. As we celebrate our 10th year at La Casita de Kaleidoscopes, I look back at our initial goals. We opened our doors & hearts to you with the desire to “have fun & enjoy the entire process.” To enjoy & share the kaleidoscope with others, and in doing so… pass on the peace & joy that it brings. It has been a delightful journey and as with the kaleidoscope an ever changing always beautiful one. Poco a poco we have accomplished our goal as we spread the beauty & color to thousands of you, evoking that playful, peaceful feel. Over the years, we have noted that Kaleidoscopes Promise Peace. We have transferred this peace, playfully from the kaleidoscope, to your hearts & souls and hopefully you have in turn shared that peace with others. WishAs we go into this 10th year celebration, we would like to reflect and pass on our joy to those not so fortunate. Throughout 2008 we will be supporting “Make a Wish New Mexico” by donating 10% of our profits to them. The Make a Wish foundation grants wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength & joy. I can think of no other organization that fits our goals so perfectly. So every time you buy a kaleidoscope, you will not only be spreading peace, but making many wishes come true too ThanksAlso we want to again celebrate you…our faithful customers. We are bringing back the ‘Kaleidocard.’ This time however, after the purchase of 9 scopes the 10th one will be free. Just come by or give us a call & we will sign you up for the card. Simply purchase 9 scopes within the year & the 10th will be free. (value will be determined by averaging the price of the 9 purchased scopes) Scopes & KaleidoscopistsAs always, we continue to thrive due to the wonderful work of our very devoted kaleidoscope artists. It was with great pleasure that we hosted most of our artists last year and they were as delighted with our casita as we are with their work. Their creativity continues to abound… Just a few spectacular pieces are: Bob & Grace Ade perform beauty with ‘Black Magic’ The Colliers ‘Spirit’ continues to thrive. Marci Clark continues to spread ‘Peace’ with her serene 10 point star scope which commemorates our tenth anniversary. The Coghills have turned colorful wooden scopes of ‘Calico’ & ‘Artist’s Palette’ ‘Eggs’ & ‘Desk Sets.’ Sheryl Koch’s ‘tiny brass scope’ or ‘necklace’ is a beauty for being so little. Henry Bergeson senses ‘The Sine of the Times’ dinky but dynamic with it’s interchangeable options. The Knox’s continue to impress with ‘God’s Promise’ & ‘Rorschach’ both intricately colorful inside & out.
