Seasons Turn... Turn... Turn... Colorful Leaves to Snowflakes... White, light, reflecting in perfection render... Beautiful Crystal Circles The Kaleidoscope... turns... turns... turns... Colors falling into place... with light Reflecting beautiful Mandelas of sparkling colorful splendor.
As fall turns to winter, my mind wanders to one universal image... the Snowflake. How similar the snowflake is to how we would like our lives to be...very simple & peaceful. Purples & Blues conjure up a soothing peaceful feel Such simplicity... so beautiful. When I see a snowflake it reminds me of the images created by the kaleidoscope. Light, bright or soft colors and patterns gently tumbling into place So free & simple. As the kaleidoscope captures nature's beauty, it fills my heart & soul and makes me smile... Over and over again & again... Soooooo... Cool!
For the Snowflake Season, and all year too, our artists have worked their magic into some very special Holiday Kaleidoscopes. Corki Weeks, Tom & Judith Paul and Ken & Dore Wilhoite have created beautiful Traditional Christmas Scopes. Secret Garden Kaleidoscope's 'Snowflakes: Winters Jewels' will warm your Soul & Laura Wilde's 'Secret Windows Snowflake' will delight your Heart & A very special surprise... Coming Soon... our own Southwest Snowflake Series by the elves at La Casita de Kaleidoscopes.
Our artists are constantly changing & creating new beautiful kaleidoscopes for our enjoyment and this year has been no exception. The Ade's have 'Swoosh'ed a 1st glass beauty... Arnie has hit a high point with 'Opus Y'. The Chesniks have aimed higher with 'Moonscape'... & Collier's 'Spirit's are high too... The Healys focus a little smaller with their 'mini anodized teleidoscope' necklace... You can really 'Turniton' with Bergeson's new lighted scope... Marcia Clark's been busy with her vintage collection 'Honey It's For You'... Images are deep into 'Oceanography'... & David Kalish provides a new 'Lighthouse' to light the way... A Wooden Drum 'Fiber Optic Scope' by Farnsworth is bursting with continuous color... & Charles Karadimos continues with 'Classic Cones'... You'll love the Knapp's 'For the Love of Color'... & if you have always love New Zealand's Big Bubble Scope, now you can 'N Joy' a baby one too... You'll really be attracted to Paretti's 'Magneto'... You'll sing with 'Bling' by Sea Parrott and Sue Ross's 'Musical Memories' and Ken & Dore Wilhoite's 'Twisted' will make you want to dance. La Casita de Kaleidoscopes continues with Pride to showcase over 60 Kaleidoscope Artists and represent their Kaleidoscopes in Poco-a-Poco Patio's Peaceful setting. As Jim & Pat returned to the Southwest this fall, we were so thankful for all of our faithful friends & family that helped keep La Casita de Kaleidoscopes as one of the 'fun-est' places in Albuquerque. Thank you Lesley, Lynn & Scottie for keeping the love of the kaleidoscope alive so we can continue sharing them with all of you.
We are also very proud to announce that the Brewster's Kaleidoscope Convention 'Fiesta of Color' will be in Albuquerque from May 11-14, 2006. This is a unique blend of Collectors, Artists & Gallery Owners. Most of the activities are for members - however the showroom will be open to the public at times. For more information, check the Brewster Society's website.
We will be continuing with the 'Closer Look' evenings in the upcoming year and our Scoops & Scopes will return in the Spring. Watch our website for announcements of these events.
